Privacy Policy

PLEASE READ THE PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY.

Readsters, LLC (“Readsters”) is committed to respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy constitutes the agreement between you and Readsters regarding your provision, and our collection and use of, contact and other information you may provide while using Readsters’ website at www.Readsters.com (the “Website”). By accessing or using the Website, you consent to this Privacy Policy and freely consent to the information collection and use practices described herein. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, do not use this Website.

The Types of Information You May Provide
Information you may provide in visiting the Website falls into two broad categories: personally identifiable information and aggregate information. “Personally Identifiable Information” is information that can be used to identify or contact you, such as your name, credit card information, email address, or mailing address. “Aggregate Information” is information that does not identify you, and may include, for example, statistical information concerning the web pages on the Website that users most frequent. Our Privacy Policy governs both categories of information.

Information That Identifies You: Personally Identifiable Information
We allow you to decide whether you wish to provide us with Personally Identifiable Information. Accordingly, we have structured the Website so that you may visit it and review information about educational programs and services that we offer without revealing your identity or providing any Personally Identifying Information.

Customer Contact Information
We use customer contact information from our order forms and member registration form (e.g., your name, address, organization, phone number, and e-mail address) to help us ship and track your orders accurately and efficiently. We may use your phone number or e-mail address to contact you in case we have questions about your order.

Email, Direct Communications, and Other Forms
The Website offers ways to ask our staff questions in order to learn more about our services and products, and to provide us with comments and feedback concerning the Website generally. By communicating with us through email, direct communication, or any other form, you may provide us with your email address and other Personally Identifiable Information.

Secure Online Ordering
When you provide information on any of our order forms to make a purchase, the transactional information that you provide is transmitted in a safe, encrypted format. We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology, an industry-standard protocol used to establish secure communications between a web server and a client. We also support encryption, which is the most secure way currently available to protect your credit card information. To maintain your security, your encrypted credit card information is sent to the credit card authority and approval status is sent back to us.

Use of Your Contact Information to Keep You Informed
We may use Personally Identifiable Information you give to us to provide you with information concerning our programs and services, newsletters, updates, and related materials. We may also use this Information to respond to questions and comments from you.

When you register to become a member, we will request some personal information, such as name, address, organization, email, and other relevant information. If you are purchasing a product or service, we will request billing information. If you purchase by credit card, billing and credit card information may be forwarded to your credit card provider.

We will not sell or use Personally Identifiable Information we collect from you to third parties without your permission except to the extent necessary, including: (i) to fulfill your request for products or services; (ii) to protect ourselves from liability; (iii) to respond to legal process or comply with law, court orders, or government regulations; (iv) to protect you or others from a threat of imminent harm; or (v) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or liquidation of Readsters. In any such case, we will seek to limit the scope of disclosure, and will disclose only such information as is reasonably required to fulfill the purpose of the disclosure.

We take reasonable steps to protect your Personally Identifiable Information as you transmit your information from your computer to the Website and to protect such information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. You should keep in mind that no Internet transaction is ever 100% secure or guaranteed error-free. In particular, e-mail sent to or from the Website may not be secure, and you should therefore take special care when deciding what information you send to us. Moreover, where you use passwords, user IDs, ID numbers, or other special features on the Website, it is your responsibility to safeguard them.

Opt-In Services
We use information collected from the member registration forms (i) for special services, (ii) to help us customize our web services to best meet your needs, and (iii) to provide you with occasional updates about discounts, special product introductions, and free resources related to education.

Opt-Out Services
You may refuse further communications from us at any time. To opt out of an e-mail service, simply select “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the e-mail and you will be promptly removed.

If you request, we will remove your name and other Personally Identifiable Information from our databases. Please understand, however, that it may be impossible to remove this information completely, due to backups and records of deletions. If you wish to remove your name and other Personally Identifiable Information from our database, please create an email with the term “Remove” in the subject line, and send the email to info@readsters.com. Use of Aggregate Information Only In Ways That Do Not Identify You
We may share Aggregate Information and reports based on Aggregate Information, with third parties unrelated to the Website. No information we provide to third parties will allow anyone to identify you, or determine anything personal about you. For example, we might report to unrelated third parties the number of users to the Website. IP Addresses
An “Internet Protocol” (IP) address is associated with your computer’s connection to the Internet. We may use your computer’s IP address to maintain contact with you as you navigate through the Website. Readsters also may use your computer’s IP address to provide you with personalized content. Similar to cookies, your computer’s IP address by itself does not identify you personally.

Privacy Protection for Children
The Website is not directed at children, and we will not accept or request personal information from individuals we know to be under the age of 13. In accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, if we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with Personally Identifiable Information, we will delete this information from our databases.

Safeguarding Information We Collect
Our intent is to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that we have collected from you. We use a variety of current technologies and processes for protection of our customer data. These systems are structured to deter and prevent hackers and others from accessing this information. Due to the nature of Internet communications and evolving technologies, however, we cannot provide assurance that the information you provide to us will remain free from loss, misuse, or alteration by third parties who, despite our efforts, obtain unauthorized access.

The Website provides links to other websites. We provide these links as a convenience, and we do not endorse the content or services offered by, or the privacy policies in place at, these other websites. Our Privacy Policy covers only information we collect at the Website.
